Stylists/women- young guy needs help with hairstyle ideas?

I was wanting some advice, mainly from stylists/cosmetologists and/or women on what kind of hairstyle I should get. I was wanting something that looks professional, but still young and attractive. I am only 23 so I don't want to get the whole GQ hair parted to side thing going or nothing like that. I have heard I have a slightly similar head/facial shape as a dark brown haired and darker skin toned Ben McKenzie (Ryan) off of the OC from my ex. Right now I have a short, Nick Lachey-ish haircut, so I would have to grow my hair out to do anything too drastic, but would definitely be open to it. Sadly, I do have a slight receding hairline, though. It is not that bad of one, though.
