Wrinkle creams for the young?

I'm 21, but oh-so interested in keeping my skin healthy! Is it too early to start using firming / wrinkle / anti-aging creams?

Will the moisturizing properties of these products cause my young pores to clog? I am not oily, but still prone to PMS-induced breakouts. I'd especially love to hear from some "30's and up" ladies on this one. How soon did you start with these products, and which ones would you recommend for someone my age?

Wrinkle creams for the young?
You are never too young to be taking care of your skin. Start implementing a facial care routine now making sure to remove your makeup at night and cleansing and moisturizing your face twice a day (morning and night). Use should use a moisturizer with an SPF, as well. Do not use products with petroleum or mineral oil. Make sure to exfoliate at least once a week and use a facial mask also at least once a week. A facial firming serum will also help.

I am 32 and when many people see me in person they think I am about 24. :) It's nice to have healthy skin.

Hope this helps.
Reply:I went through the exact same thing. I tried various products and did tons of research online before I found Oil of Olay was basically giving their product away for free.

Reply:If you want to keep your skin looking young, stay out of the sun, keep an spf 20+ on your skin at all times.

Many of the creams will not help you, because your skin will change, moisture content, et al, as you age.
Reply:I AM 24 AND USE CETAPHIL FACIAL WASH AND MOISTURIZER BUT USE DOVE ENERGY GLOW FOR THE EYES IT GOES ON SOFT AND MAKEUP GOES ON REALLY SMOOTH
Reply:u're still too young to start on these creams :) but yeah.like the first answerer,my advise is similar to hers.do not stay in the sun.
Reply:Wrinkle cream. I think that's what caused my mother's skin to get thousands of small wrinkles all over in it on her face. I could be wrong though.

It seems to me that those creams only fluff up the skin for a little while. When the cream wears off, the skin goes back to where it was or maybe worse.

Just take care of yourself and stay clean. Wash your face once a day with a mild soap.

At your age, I doubt you have anything to worry about, yet. I've known women as old as 50 or so who had just the right amount of wrinkling to give their smiles quite a radiance. Don't hide them. Wear the wrinkles proudly. They put the exclamation point on the happy face.
Reply:You are never too young to use moisturizers! The sooner you start the easier it will be. One thing which really damages skin is SUN and lack of cleansing, lack of drinking WATER. You have to hydrate from the inside OUT. Dry skin can effect anyone and will contribute to getting lines quicker.
Reply:My first opinion will tell yea, do not worry at such a young age.

I am 41 and still have young skin.

Start now or (continue )with your skin care hygene. I personally never use soap on my face. Cleansers yes, harsh soaps no.

At 21 your skin has many years of changes ahead. Allow yourself the research of products that will work for you, look at products that are all natural- Stay away from product that have petroleum and lanolins in them. Especally baby oils. As for the PMS - induced breakout we all still get them. Even during menopause.

Theres no getting around them. Lessen them and watch your acid intake during those times. Other than that primp and powder and enjoy life. Check out the Arbonne sight
