Hi...i have really sensitive skin....?

i am a black young lady struggeling from dark scarz in my face. This has been through spots etc... i have used many cleanser and facial washes but nothing seems to be working...also my skin starts peeling and is very dry can someone plsss....help me thanks....

Hi...i have really sensitive skin....?
have you tried proactive
Reply:have you tried cocoa butter? There is one that is in 'stick' form (a bit like a push-up deodorant) that is easy to apply. Plain old vaseline is quite good too, and maybe vitamin E oil. I don't have black skin, but do have excessively dry and sensitive olive skin, so I don't know if these products would help you - except the cocoa butter - a black friend put me on to that because she used it herself. Hope you find something to help you x
Reply:Sadly I don't think face washes etc are going to help with scaring. Personally I would see your doctor and explain how having these scars are affecting your self esteem and happiness and ask for a referral to a dermatologist.

I think probably the best thing for it would be to have laser treatment to reduce the appearance of the scarring. You can go private but it costs. Alternatively there are products such as BIO OIL. It is more reputable than most that offer a reduction of scar appearance, and I personally know someone who has used it and it worked for them. It took a lot of the pigment out of the scar, be warned this isn't a cure and it will not get rid of it all.

A dermatologist will also be able to help with the dry skin, however over use of facial washes and if you use ones with exfoliates will cause the skin to dry out too. Have you tried a good moisturising cream? Johnsons do a really good one for sensitive skin, or if your skin is still a little oily try Garnier Pure or Garnier total confort.
Reply:I would recommend Dermalogica if you haven't tried it yet. Give the products at least a month to work if you haven't done this already, don't expect a miracle within like a few days. Make sure you go and see a dermatologist before buying their products so it's most suited for your skin. Just go on their site and find your nearest one.

For the scars I recommend applying cocoa butter. I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion which is around £1.49 from any drugstore (Boots/Superdrug).

Hope it works out, did for me =] x
Reply:i use facial masks from bath and body works, there's one that has olive in it...mud masks work too, DO NOT use proactive if you have sensitive skin..it made my face burn and dry out..it's not as good as everyone says it is...make sure the facial washes don't have any alcohol in them...try St Ives Apricot Scrub
Reply:ok, I cant say if it 'll help you- but a cocuple months ago, I started using an Orchid extract product and it made my skin very even toned- its called porcelain DOll And they have sample sizes to check on- it works quite fast and makes skin smooth and firm
