Smoking and skin Question.?

i've smoked since i was 16 and im 22 now.. i quit a couple months ago plus i used to tan.. i notice theres a bunch of sites that tell ya its bad for you and your skin and what it does to the body but theres not much info about if you quit smoking will your skin eventually start to look good again if you keep up with excerciseing and stuff.. my friend has what you call smokers face and hes 22, he wants to know if you quit smoking at that young of age will your face and skin look really good again if you take care of it or are you pretty much screwed .. ya know sagging cheeks or dull looking skin ./ dryed skin.

Smoking and skin Question.?
Skin is a reproductive organ...if u fall and cut urself..ur skin will eventually heal itself and look just as good...unless if u get a scar of course, but in time scars tend to go away too. We lose billions of skin cells in a year and obviously they are replaced with new skin cells...so ur body in turn is constantly changing..so the answer to ur question is YES..u can have nice skin once again. I'd go to a dermatologist and see about getting some moisturizers and skin treatment. They would know better on what to prescribe for u with ur specific skin type.
Reply:Quit as fast as you can and start drinking water, and taking vitamins, and exercising. Use special skincare products too for saggy skin scars and all that.
Reply:Should've thought about that before huh!

And I wouldn't worry about what my skin looks like, I'd go get an X-ray of my lungs if I were you.
Reply:normally... research says u can fully recover from smoking after some time u stop smoking.. and u shud be able to get ur skin all in order.
Reply:it should get better dont smoke or tan drink alot of water thats important! maybe even use a vitamin they have some for healthy skin. go to your local health food store or gnc. dont use soap on your face also use a cleanser from maybe avon or a store that sells beauty supplies could reccomend a cleanser and some moisturizers. men also can use moisturizers good luck and congrats on the no smoking!
