Why judge by the color of ones skin?

Despite the fact that my mother was a little looney... I trully believe that she taught me right when she emphasized that you should judge others by the content of their character versus the color of their skin. It flustrates me to no end when I meet people who are racist... or worse... people who assume I am racist because I am white. At my job, there are many different nationalities and they discriminationa nd misunderstandings that happen everyday make me so sad. Maybe I am just young and naive. But it makes me sick that people are so judgemental. Skin color to me is like your eye color... I don't give a crap if you have purple skin (all thought that would be a little odd LOL)... I am guilty of being judgemental but I have NEVER judged someone due to their skin color or their ethnic origin. I will never understand racism.

Why judge by the color of ones skin?
For the love of God.............WHEN are people going to understand that we come from the SAME DNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are just DIFFERENT SHADES of color!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to tell all the racists to just GIVE IT UP and move the freak ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are more important things to focus on like children being raped, murdered, war etc. etc. and how about this one.............LOVE.

Geesh.
Reply:It's easy. Skin color is apparent.
Reply:we should all do it sneeches style...
Reply:You are correct and I hope you report racists on yahoo. Just dont answer the racists but report them to yahoo.
Reply:The people that are generally referred to as "racist" (of any ethnicity) generally do not judge people by the "color of their skin".

They judge them by the behavior, negative or positive, generally associated with that race.

No, it isn't their skin color; it's their behavior.
Reply:I would love to know what your thought are on inter-racial dating/marriage. Is this something that your family embraces?
Reply:It is wrong for us to judge anyone regardless if its racial or morally,-Judge not lest ye be judge. Lets face it there is good and bad people of all kinds-even in one's own familly. So if ther is a few bad apples in your familly should everyone in your family be judged as bad apples?
