EXTREMELY dry skin (left foot) PLEASE HELP!!!?

My left foot has EXTREMELY dry skin. It cracks when I walk %26amp; is so painful for the past 2 nights it has woke me out of my sleep. Every step I take sends the pain shooting thru the arch. I try to rub lotion on it but it does not seem to help. I think the skin maybe too hard that it does not penatrate. Has anyone delt with this before %26amp; have anything they can suggest for my problem. I am a mom of 3 young children so I am ALWAYS on my feet. This is unbearable. Thank you in advance.

EXTREMELY dry skin (left foot) PLEASE HELP!!!?
Cracked heels are called heel fissures and it's very common. The good news is they can be healed. The bad news is not a single cream will completely remove the calloused heel. You have to follow a treatment plan that will remove the dead skin cells (that is what is causing the thick calloused area on the heel, and using a cream that penetrates the skin. No cream alone can go beneath the thick calloused part of your heal without removing the dead skin first. But if you following the above treatment, you will heal your heels!

What NOT to do: Use Vaseline. For one, it's a petroleum product . It's known to clog pores, it only stays on the surface and does not penetrate thru multiple skin layers. And two, its not a remewable resource. A cream made with emu oil and shea butter works. Emu Oil is known to have many healing properties AND it penetrates thru multiple layers of skin.

Don't use creams until you know what ingredient in them makes them work. Find ones that will not simply sit on the skin surface. This will have no benefit.

Don't think of it as a life sentence....it only take a few treatments to get rid of the dry cracks. Remember the most important two things.....remove dead skin cells and moisturize with a penetrating cream.

A very helpful guide for causes and treatments can be found at http://www.crackedheelcare.com/crackedhe...
Reply:There is also a product called "Bag Balm" comes in a green can ~ The farmers use it as it heals cracked boobies on the milking cows. Its a great product and much less expensive than probably emu oil . I wear socks over it to bed overnight Report It

Reply:Use Arbonne !!!!Night Cream!!!

Day Cream !!!%26amp; Wash Face with The antiaging Cleansing lotion You will see the difference immediatley also drink lots of water.
Reply:The best lotion I have found has been Oil of Olay Quench for extremely dry skin - works in a day or two. Also Jergens Advanced healing lotion works wonderful. Lotion especially after showering and at nigh lotion your feet then put on a pair of cotton socks. It'll keep the moisture in and in the AM your feel will feel different.

Also get a foot file and file down the dry areas before you lotion. It gives the lotion less areas to have to penetrate and works better.
Reply:You should give yourself a pedicure at least twice a week and scrape away the dead skin with a pumice stone and on the tops of your feet use a loofah sponge. When you are all done, generously apply petroleum jelly to your feet and put on a pair of thick socks to keep your feet soft and smooth.
Reply:At walgreens, get either crack cream, it really works on dry cracked feet, and it's called that, or try goldbond in the orange/yellowish bottle. I've used both.
