Is there any really good product for dry itchy wrinkly skin?

I've had eczema most of my life. It comes and goes. I've learnt to deal with the dry patches. My skin itches but I deal with that too. But what's really bothering me is the dryness and roughness of my skin. My skin looks 20 years older (I'm only 28 and look younger than that on my face) with wrinkles and on my legs it's shiny and looks lizardy. It looks like the bed of a dry stream or river with cracks.

Natural Almond oil, olive oil etc is not helping. All they do is make the surface oily but underneath it's still dry. Oily and dry skin! I'My skin is not absorbing oils and loses water.

I do take fish oil and borage oil, they seem to help my face and hair but not my body. I ALWAYS put on lotion after a bath since I was a baby. I have dry skin, I can't NOT put lotion on so that's not the problem.

Help! I want my body to be hydrated and not look like I'm 50. It's quite depressing. I've been to the dermatologist, he just shrugs.

Thank you.

I had eczema on my face for years and nothing really seemed to help, so it was a case of trial and error and I tried Palmers cocobutter lotion and it worked a treat, so if u have not tried it it may be worth giving it ago
Reply:You need to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Stay away from caffeine. Have you tried a bath in Epsom salts it is a natural mineral and it softens the skin. You can also use some baby oil in the water. Also id you are using soap make sure it isn't a deodorant soap. Buy a body wash like Oil of Olay for dry skin and use that. If you still have problems try putting oatmeal in a mesh bag and add it to the bath water...they sell oatmeal bath products but you can make your own cheaper. Just make sue to tie it and put it where the water runs on it and softens it. Then when you put any kind of oil or lotion on it has to be within 10 minutes of getting out of the bath. I also have used baby oil in the shower just put it on the washcloth and wipe down before getting out.

For your Eczema go to the Health food store or look online and buy some Pro-biotics...the ones that are refrigerated and have at least two kinds of bacteria in them. Take them as directed and you will notice a great improvement with that also. It may take a month, don't give up. Good luck. Miss Mary
Reply:Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Do this in the shower, and then when you get out and your skin is still a little damp, and the skin pores open, apply a thick body cream, and rub in. I really like Neutrogena Norwegian Formula. You also will want to apply it again before going to bed because your skin absorbs moisture very well then.
Reply:Dry skin types have to be extremely careful to protect their skin.Yogurt-honey combination helps dry skin. Make an egg pack with a yolk, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of milk powder. This is beneficial to dry skin types. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/
Reply:you should try Arbonne's RE9 Anti Aging system, you will love it...I can provide you with a free sample.
Reply:soothe dry skin with an all natural skin care moisturizer. this can help keep the skin moist all day. stay away from factors that can rob moisture out of the body like dry air, too much exposure to the sun and humidity.

there are also natural ways to beat dry skin by avoiding long baths and showers. talk to your skin care expert and get some recommended skin care treatments. visit http://www.skinsosilky.com for more tips to beat dry skin.
Reply:i've had eczema since i was younger. sometimes the flare ups would be pretty bad so i feel for you.

i've tried everything imaginable to try and treat my dry, flaky, horribly itchy skin.....my doctor even gave me SLEEPING pills once to try and get my to stop itching in my sleep.

the only thing that's EVER helped my skin, and i swear by it every single day is the equate brand hydrocortisone cream. you can find it at any walmart in the pharmacy shelves. it's an "anti itch" cream and i actually think most people would think it's for itching "down there" lol. but it can also be used on other parts of the body as well. i used this cream every day after a shower on my arms, face, neck...whereever it's dry and i never have a problem with dry spots EVER. as long as i'm using the cream that is. i notice that when i stop for acouple days it starts itching again. i recommended this to my sister who had bad dry skin around her eye and it worked for her as well. it's super cheap too, only 3.97 for the big tube. trust me on this one, it works. use it everyday and you'll never try another stupid lotion again.
