I have a skin irritation under my nose...what could it be?

I have really red skin under my, it looks almost like chapped skin, acne, or a slight rash. it itches kinda and the skin is dry and kind of flaky sometimes. It has been there for quite some time now. Ever since I was about 12 and now I'm 18. It was BARELY noticable when I was younger, but now within this last year it is becomming more noticable and is getting more annoying. Does any one got some kind of an idea of what this could possibly be? Please help because it's bothering me very bad!

Reply:Stop using coke!
Reply:It could be psoriasis or exzema.
Reply:Sounds like athletes foot ..... ususally some type of fungus. Try Lamisil or equvilant and it usually clears this up quickly

best thing to do
Reply:I think I might know what it is. Have you been blowing your nose lately? If so, that is a rash that is irritated because the tissue keeps rubbing against you. Maybe your nose has been running, that irritates the skin also. It is probably a slight rash.I would suggest putting neosporin on it or Vaseline. Just in case it ever gets too chapped always carry a chap stick in your purse. Some people have a white rash around their lips. This is caused by chapped lips or dry skin, you might start getting this, but it is not a huge deal. If it starts spreading around your face, you might have acne. The best thing to do would be to go to a helpful dermatologist. They would know what to do to help you! If you live in a cold place, this might be dry skin. If it is really bothering you try to put lotion on the itching part. Also, you might have eczema. Here is a quick column about eczema.

I hope that I helped and I hope your skin gets great!")
Reply:CONSULT a Physician immediately. N take advice, if its a dental abscess underneath or any skin infection. Doctor, if needed would refer U to a specialist.

Remember, area between nose and upper lip is considered 'Dangerous zone of face', as it has potential retrogate connections with brain cavities fluid system.

However, Ur case seems non-serious.

Chill pill n show a doctor, dear!
Reply:From your description it sounds like it may be eczema. I have eczema in the exact same place, and during flare-ups, it looks pretty much like you described.

As most of the responders have said, see a doctor. The only thing that's been able to control my eczema has been prescription medication, so if you want to treat it, you will need to see a professional.

If it is indeed eczema, sorry to say there is no cure for it, but finding out what it is the first step to accepting it. The medication, however, would help reduce the appearance of the rash, sometimes making it disappear completely until your next flare-up.
