Is it possible to get completely smooth skin if you've had a history of acne..?

I used to have acne when I was younger, but I've kind of grown out of that stage. Now my skin is kind of bumpy (it's really noticable in pictures) but I don't really have huge, red pimples anymore...is there any way I can get 100% smooth skin??

Is it possible to get completely smooth skin if you've had a history of acne..?
My son had the worst cystic acne you can even imagine.......his face, back, chest, arms, all horrible. I had him take accutane, and he has the most beautiful complexion you can imagine! The scars are gone, not a hint that his skin EVER had a problem. Accutane............it's a miracle.
Reply:I knew girl that guy her face scrubbed or something like that. She had acne scars really bad and it slowly smoothed her skin.
Reply:I believe microdermabrasion is your best bet. If you have severe scars, you may not be able to complete eliminate them, but microdermabrasion will definitly improve your skin and give it substantial smoothness. Good luck
Reply:Use toothpaste

Keep your hair up....I rubbed toothpaste on my face... wash it off after 10 minutes.... then you'll notice a difference....
Reply:Yes just wear face lotion.
Reply:i have acne rght now. I take extra care of my skin. here is my daily routine.

i still get SOME acne and i have used proactiv before but that is just my stage in life. maybe you should see someone speacialized in miscrodermabrasions or something.

hope i helped. =]
Reply:You could go the extreme route and get some resurfacing done with a chemical peel. That's probably the most effective thing to do.

Temporary fixes: Cle de Peau Pore Refining Stick reduces a textured appearance. Laura Mercier Moisturizer is very very healing.

Reply:There's hope! I suggest Anew's Clinical Micro-exfoliant. An alternative to the expensive microdermabrasion. I use this myself. Instant results! It removes dead surface skin, smoothes, refines and retexturizes to improve skin clarity. Another wonder product is Anew's Clinical Advanced Retexturizing Peel. Truly advanced! Can be compared to a professional glycolic peel. Voted Beauty Insider's Choice Finalist. It retexturizes and resurfaces the skin which is exactly what you are looking for. A lot of my skin care clients use these products together (not to be used the same day) for faster results. They are both backed with a 100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back. Be sure to follow the instructions.

Reply:My girlfriend is a liscensed dermatologist with an M.D. Find one in your area...NOT a spa...I mean a real doctor....have them check out your face and they will tell you waht you need. I went and everyone told me get microdermabrasion and my friend said I needed a light glycolic peel and a light microdermabrasion so they did it....and my skin looks ten times better with just one treatment...so forget over the counter crap go to the doctor and you will be very pleased. It is so worth a couple hundred bucks to have your confidence back along with glowing skin. Good luck!!
Reply:May I suggest Mary Kay's Even Complexion Essence and the Microdermabrasion set...works wonders...please feel free to go on line and check it out for yourself or consult your local Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant...It's FREE!!
Reply:yes
Reply:try proactive they sell it at any drugstore.
Reply:microdermabrasion at a spa
Reply:Neutrogena makes a good microdermabrasion kit. It is a lot cheaper than getting one from a spa or dermatoloist. You should give yourself a microdermabrasion about once a week or once every other week. You also could talk t a dermatologist and see what they recommend.
Reply:Kinda had a similar problem, but mine was just pimples...not acne...and I had quite alotta scars...red marks...so my dermatologist suggested IPL...and it works...you may wanna try it too...but make sure ur beautician or whoever you go to is reliable...or you may just wanna consult w a dermatologist to find the best cure for ur problem. Good Luck
